milestone ~ first hair cut

2.6.13 ~ Shawn was out at my dad's house all night, putting new brakes on his truck so it was just me and phia tonight all night. (Phia is her nickname that all the boys at daycare call her. And Cale started it actually a long time ago, that's what he has always called her. i think it's adorable!) We stopped by GG's house on our way home from work/daycare and hung out there for a while, then came home and ate dinner and then it was bath time... afterwards I decided that I was going to try and attempt to cut her hair because it really needed it. it's gotten so incredibly long and the ends are just so fine and stringy and dead they needed trimmed. I figured what the hell, worst case scenario it just doesn't happen right. So after her bath while her hair was still wet, I took her into our bathroom and just sat her ontop of the counter and gave her this new toy that she was so fascinated with that I thought it would be the perfect distraction! It was from her happy meal (of course the "boy" toy.lol) and I was right! :) :) :) :) She just sat there the whole time and played with that toy and was such a good little girl! So last night she officially had her "FIRST HAIR CUT!" I'm so excited. I'm not counting all those times that when she had bangs I trimmed them... it was only a couple of times and half of them I had to wait until she was asleep to get it done! haha. So her hair is so smooth and healthy and beautiful now :) And I just can't believe what a good girl she was for me. love her.

Weirdo Junior, milestone

Sooooo I have decided to use my blog also to track Sophia's milestones a little easier. So this way when something happens I can blog it that day, and then once a month or so I can just check here and then write everything down in her baby book. Sounds good in theory right? ;)
Alright, well my baby girl is now apparently a toddler. 2 years old. 26 months. Although you have to stop counting months after 2 years. Pffttt. She's growing up way too freaking fast. So these past two weeks she has decided that she is such a big girl in fact that she is starting to talk in actual sentences more often now, pretty much all the time. She would do it every now and again before, but these past two weeks she has really stepped it up. It's so strange having a somewhat conversation with my little bitty mini me. Seems like just yesterday I was talking to her inside my belly. Sigh.

Having fun at daycare, I love all the pictures that she sends me during the day of my nutball :)

Oh yeah, I guess I should specify that Weirdo Junior is nickname that Shawn has called Sophia since day 1. Reason behind it is plain and simple: he has always called me weirdo since the beginning.... ;)
